Almost Raw Taco
Recipe type: lunch or dinner
Serves: 2-4
  • 4 large cabbage leaves
  • ½ tsp. sea salt
  • 1 lbs. of ground buffalo, beef or turkey
  • 2 tbsp. Spicely Organic Gluten Free Taco or Mexican Seasoning (Whole Foods, Lunardi’s)
  • 1-2 limes
  • 1 cup thinly sliced cabbage
  • ¼ cup finely chopped cilantro
  • avocado
  1. Sauté ground meat with 1 T coconut oil and spices. Cook until meat loses pink color. Pull off 4 large cabbage leaves and thinly slice remaining cabbage. Juice 1-2 limes and pour over sliced cabbage. Chop cilantro and toss with cabbage. Please ½ C of seasoned meat in 1 large cabbage leaf. Top with cabbage mixture, and a 1-2 slices of avocado.
  2. Note: By using cabbage leaf instead of a tortilla, you can go back for seconds and fill up on protein and veggies instead of grains.
